A new Ipsos MORI poll of Scottish voting intentions for the Times (£) shows the SNP ahead in Holyrood voting intentions. The figures with changes from MORI’s last Scottish poll in November are:
Holyrood constituency: CON 13%(nc), LAB 36%(-5), LIBDEM 10%(-1), SNP 37%(+6)
Holyrood regional: CON 13%(+1), LAB 33%(-3), LIBDEM 13%(+4), SNP 35%(+3), Greens 6%.
These figures are encouraging for the SNP - Scottish Polls since the general election have shown Labour ahead. Seat projections based on these figures show the SNP with 51 (+4) seats, Labour with 48 (+2), the Conservatives with 14 (-3), the Lib Dems with 12 (-4) and the Greens with 4 (+2).
With figures like these it is 'game on' for the Scottish Parliament election in Edinburgh Northern & Leith and Shirley-Anne Somerville's chances of a win here have increased.
